Every estimate needs context.

Move the illustration through a stride, then explore why a report may display—or withhold—a measurement.

A candidate contact

The heel reaches a forward extreme relative to the hips. In a real report, this is a candidate event to inspect in the replay—not proof of force-bearing contact.

This control changes the explanatory example. It does not run an analysis or simulate validated tracking accuracy.

YOUR WALKING OBSERVATIONS

A closer look.

This invented example demonstrates how a report connects a timing estimate to a method and its limits. These numbers were not measured from a person.

CONTACT TIMING

Follow each candidate step

7 visible candidates

Each mark is a candidate contact estimated from foot motion, not a force measurement. Illustrative timing only.

Illustrative cadence

120 steps/min

An explanation of a calculation, not a target pace or a personal result. The laboratory method citation does not establish this service’s accuracy.

Method, quality & sources

Invented alternating candidates spaced 0.5 seconds apart: 60 ÷ 0.5 = 120 steps/min. A real estimate requires accepted candidate timing in one continuous segment.

Synthetic tracking. Mean landmark visibility: 0.90 on a 0–1 scale. Invented for this example. Visibility describes tracking support, not accuracy.

What this report can’t tell you

  • All movement and values in this example are synthetic.
  • Phone-video estimates are not clinically validated and cannot diagnose a condition or determine muscle weakness.
  • No personal videos, private test fixtures, or customer findings appear in this example.

Pipeline synthetic-example-v1. Observations are camera-based estimates, not diagnosis or clinical validation.
